Dacian Respirators vs. Common Mask Types

Dacian respirators provide filtration performance comparable to commonly used respirator classes such as N95, P95, P2, KF94, KN95, and DS2. Our FFP2 respirators comply with the EN 149 standard and provide filtration against oil mist, droplets, smoke particles, and fine dust particles as small as 0.075 μm, with the following product performance:

Europe FFP2 vs. Dacian Respirators

  • FFP2 respirators provide at least 94% filtration efficiency. Dacian manufactures FFP2-certified respirators that meet the applicable EN 149 requirements for particulate filtration.
  • Dacian difference: Applicable EN 149 performance combined with multiple filtration functions and reusable product options.

 

USA N95 vs. Dacian Respirators

  • Both provide a particulate filtration level of up to or at least 95%. However, N95 respirators are not resistant to oil, while applicable Dacian respirators provide up to 99% oil-mist filtration efficiency. Dacian respirators also provide viral and bacterial filtration performance and can be washed and reused according to the care instructions.
  • Dacian difference: Oil-mist filtration plus washable and reusable construction.

 

USA P95 vs. Dacian Respirators

  • Both provide a particulate filtration level of up to or at least 95% and can address oil-containing particulates. Dacian respirators use a soft, flexible structure designed to follow facial contours and support comfortable, close contact around the nose, cheeks, and chin. They also combine viral and bacterial filtration performance with washable construction.
  • Dacian difference: A soft, flexible fit combined with microbial filtration and reusable construction.

 

China KN95 vs. Dacian Respirators

  • Both provide a particulate filtration level of up to or at least 95%. KN95 respirators are generally intended for non-oil particulates, while applicable Dacian respirators can also filter oil mist. Dacian respirators are washable and reusable rather than limited to ordinary disposable use.
  • Dacian difference: Oil-mist filtration and reusable construction in one respirator.

 

Australian and New Zealand P2 vs. Dacian Respirators

  • P2 respirators provide at least 94% filtration efficiency, while Dacian respirators provide up to 95% particulate filtration efficiency. Dacian respirators also provide up to 99% oil-mist, viral, and bacterial filtration efficiency and can be washed and reused.
  • Dacian difference: A higher stated particulate filtration level, multiple filtration functions, and repeated use.

 

Korea KF94 vs. Dacian Respirators

  • KF94 masks commonly feature a three-fold design and provide at least 94% filtration efficiency, while Dacian respirators provide up to 95%. Compared with the structured three-fold format, Dacian’s soft and flexible construction is designed to follow individual facial contours and reduce gaps around the nose, cheeks, and chin. Applicable Dacian models also provide oil-mist filtration and reusable construction.
  • Dacian difference: A close-fitting flexible structure, oil-mist filtration, and washable reuse.

 

Japan DS2 vs. Dacian Respirators

  • Both provide a particulate filtration level of up to or at least 95%. DS2 respirators are not intended for oil mist and are generally disposable. Dacian respirators provide up to 99% oil-mist filtration efficiency and can be washed and reused according to the prescribed instructions.
  • Dacian difference: Oil-mist filtration and reusable construction instead of single-use disposal.

 

General Medical Masks vs. Dacian Respirators

  • General medical masks are usually loose-fitting, disposable, and mainly intended for basic droplet control. They normally do not provide documented oil-mist filtration or the same close facial contact as a respirator.
  • Dacian respirators provide up to 95% particulate filtration efficiency and up to 99% oil-mist, viral, and bacterial filtration efficiency. Their soft construction is designed to follow facial contours more closely, while the washable material allows repeated use under the prescribed care conditions.

 

Standard Surgical Masks vs. Dacian Respirators

  • Standard surgical masks generally focus on droplet control and fluid-splash resistance. Even when the mask material has strong bacterial filtration performance, gaps around the face can allow unfiltered air to enter. Surgical masks are also generally intended for single use and do not provide documented oil-mist filtration.
  • Dacian respirators combine particulate, oil-mist, viral, and bacterial filtration performance in a closer-fitting structure. They can also be washed and reused according to Dacian’s care and replacement instructions.
     

Activated Carbon Masks vs. Dacian Respirators

  • Activated carbon masks mainly help reduce certain nuisance odors. The presence of a carbon layer does not automatically provide 95% particulate filtration, oil-mist filtration, or consistent viral and bacterial filtration. Carbon performance also decreases as the material becomes saturated, and most carbon filter layers should not be washed.
  • Dacian respirators focus on documented particulate and oil-mist filtration rather than odor reduction alone. They also provide viral and bacterial filtration performance and can be washed and reused according to the prescribed care instructions.
