Occupational hazards can be really devastating! The owner of an iron factory who has been in business for over 40 years has to live in an environment filled with a large amount of soil and sand dust every day. Later, he discovered that half of the factory's employees had successively developed cancer. One day, he felt inexplicably chest tightness, and upon medical examination, he discovered that he had contracted lung adenocarcinoma. Fortunately, early detection and treatment have left him without major issues.

It is understood that Mr. Chen runs an iron factory, mainly engaged in jobs such as erecting iron buildings for others and renovating iron-clad houses. He lives every day in an environment where dust fills the air. However, in recent years, he found that 8 employees in the factory have successively developed liver cancer and lung adenocarcinoma. Some employees even discovered their lung cancer at the terminal stage and passed away within a short three months. The factory seemed to be under a curse, with half of the employees successively developing cancer. Recently, Mr. Chen also felt frequent symptoms of chest tightness. Upon medical examination, he discovered that his lungs had fibrosis, and two nodules appeared in his right lung, with the largest being about 1 centimeter. The doctor recommended undergoing surgical removal. Through thoracoscopic minimally invasive surgery, combined with computer image-guided positioning technology, the tumor in the right lung was successfully removed.

Dr. Huang Chongjie, director of thoracic surgery, stated that both tumors in Mr. Chen were early-stage lung adenocarcinomas. Complete surgical removal could offer a high chance of recovery without the need for chemotherapy and radiation therapy. The doctor also reminded people over 50 who have smoked for a long time and their families, people who have worked in a polluted environment for many years, motorcycle riders, and those who have inhaled oil fumes for a long time, as well as those with a family history of lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung diseases, etc., should be especially vigilant.
