In the food and beverage industry, do you wear a mask for "hygiene" or to "protect your lungs"?
In the food and beverage industry, we all wear masks, but we often do so from the perspective of droplet hygiene, neglecting the protection of our lungs from oil fumes.
We know to turn on the range hood when cooking, but we often overlook that the range hood is usually installed higher than our heads, so the oil fumes pass through our noses before being sucked up by the range hood. We are exposed to the same kind of pollution caused by oil fumes that are inhaled by the range hood.
Current regulations require the installation of oil fume treatment devices in the food and beverage industry mainly because cooking oil fumes cause severe air pollution and affect our health. However, we often forget that we ourselves are exposed to this air pollution every day.
For those of us in the food and beverage industry, protect your health by wearing the "kitchen oil fume mask" to filter out fine particles!
